One month old and every single bit as beautiful as the day he arrived — Ellis, it was such a special pleasure having you in the studio today.

Ellis came into the world at 35 weeks, a tiny but mighty 2.2 kg, and today he came in with mum Hayley, dad Matt and proud big brother Lukah. Premature babies often need a little extra time before they are ready for their newborn session, and Ellis was absolutely worth the wait. At exactly one month old, he was just perfect.

From the moment we got started, Ellis was completely at ease, settling into a deep sleep and staying that way right through the session. That kind of stillness is such a gift in the studio — it gave us so much time to work through a beautiful range of setups, and the images we captured are just stunning.

We also took some time to capture gorgeous family portraits with Hayley, and Matt that are going to be so treasured, and the photos of Ellis and big brother Lukah together are the kind of images that just stop you in your tracks. Lukah, you were so proud, and it showed in every single frame.

Hayley, and Matt, thank you for trusting me with these precious early days. Ellis came into this world as a little fighter, and he is so deeply loved. What a beautiful family you are. 🤍
